A CHINESE FAMILLE VERTE PORCELAIN MONTH CUP, KANGXI MARK AND OF THE PERIOD (1662-1722)
The Imperial wine cup, painted with flowering apricot and a poem that can be translated 'The Fragrance (of the flowers) mingles with the scent of evening rain. Their lovely colour is enhanced by the sunshine or mist'.
The base with Kangxi mark and of the period.

Provenance: Private Collection, London. Purchased from Sydney L. Moss Ltd, 81 Davies Street, Oxford Street, London, W1 circa 1957-60.
Condition report: This cup has been examined under natural and UV light and found to be in very good condition. We note one dark colour firing flaw inside the cup, see final photo attached. We also note some imperfections in the way in which the glaze has settled towards the bottom of the cup, see photos for reference. Aside than this, the cup is in very good condition with no hairline cracks, repairs or restoration.
