Inscribed in pencil to verso 'Painted by C.Ford, Bath, January 1847'.

With original leather case, velvet lined.

Charles Ford was working in Bath and is said to have been a pupil and friend of Thomas Lawrence. He exhibited at the RA from 1830-1856.
